This debate is very old but people forgot one important thing that Mughals were always keen to adopt talents from other region and race, ever been to fatehpur seekri ? There are hundreds of stuff based on Hindu sculpure but there is no debate about it because it is such a big monument that making doubt everything is not really practical but on the other hand TajMahal is very small compare to that as well as very famous so its always interesting to doubt on famous things to become famous. In their site they gave explaination to everything but they forgot that answer to their all assumption is that Mughals inherited Hindu art so willingly that its instances are visible everywhere in their creations.

Ricky Ji: You have a valid point and that makes sense too.

Mugal's had many Hindu's in their inner influential circle and that could have contributed to the effort. TajMahal and many other monuments that were build at that time, really are result of willingness, desire and support from Mugal’s and there should not be any question about that.

But, I am sure these guys (linked website) also must have thought along same lines before making such a bold statement.

Meena Ji/Humtum Ji: Good to see you both. Long time ….

Surely there must be something which made him to doubt on current TajMahal's theory but there are many misconception going around in this world.
Most specifically said- People love to define the things the way they like.

Yes ..people do love to re-define things in their own ways...Historical monuments built centuries ago are under constant fire from various groups for their originality and authencity !! Debates are going on on these issues from decades, and sometimes become ugly as well......!!

Whats interesting over here is these people not only have a doubt over TajMahal, but they are questioning the existence of ShahJahan and Mumtaz Mahal's lovestory as well !!!

Also, as they have written that the word Taj in TajMahal cant be taken from Mumtaz as the name cant be broken for the lady!! Well.  it does nt make sense to me !! The word Taj and Mumtaz are completely different !! Mumtaz means "the distinguished"  where as Taj is crown....so the name TajMahal is not derived from Mumtaz !!!

Also, many offtopic posts have been deleted !!
