Confused

You forget me for days on end
Making me wonder if I matter to you
Then you decide to pick up where we left off,
As if its just the thing for us to do
 
I want to stay in touch with you,
Want to feel and hear your voice,
Then I resent myself for keeping my life on hold
And tell myself you're not that nice.
 
When you call I tell you that I understand,
But not that I was mad with you or upset..
I pretend to accept your reasons
Saying this is all from you I expect.
 
I fume all the days you dont keep in touch
But once you call I'm happy...
Then call myself all kinds of fool
For being so pathetic and sappy.
 
It might seem like I'm overreacting
For a thing so silly and small,
To tell you the truth ,I am confused
And I dont understand at all
 
But I'm going to take a stand now.
I'm going to say enough.
I'll not settle for  being second best,
And if you dont like it, well ,tough !!
