EARTH TO EARTH

Sire! This morning for me was a thing of mourning.
I slipped I fell, and this is how exactly, I felt.
This was a moment of rejoicing and realizing.
Here nobody is nobody and belongs to nobody
When I was lying on the ground,
If I had not aroused myself,
Surely Sire! I would have rotted as ground.
You may fly upward as you wish but-
Nobody’s journey is upward it is downward.
Into the ground as they say Earth to Earth-
Dust to Dust-
Maati to Maati...

Maati = earth
