Furious Fingers

The days were windy once,
The rivers flooded to get somewhere,
The tune of the strings didn’t matter,
The fingers played furiously unaware.

Existence was an illusion,
Immortality wasn’t a deluded affair,
The treks were colored with actions,
Brooding over the destination was rare.

Time is a tricky device,
There isn’t much ever to care,
Said the King from his majestic throne,
The beggar did from his castle in the air.

Latterly the days have been still,
The water receding, vanishing everywhere,
Even though the strings maybe perfectly in tune,
But the once furious fingers don’t dare.
