Her journey ended before it could really start
When Dad took Mom to the doctor in a bullock cart...

Fie! Had it not been for this damned technology
Today, She would have been alive, no need for an elegy
Dad didn't want a soprano, but instead a baritone
For a Daughter's dowry, he didn't want additional loan..

The Doctor did sonography and many a test
The XX-Chromosomal child, they did detest
Knowing it wasn't a boy, but it was SHE
She, altogether they refused to even see..

Mom didn't even protest around this time
Twice before she had been subjected to this crime
Her three unborn daughters had been, in cold blood killed
And now for the birth of a boy, they all strongly willed..

Where was SHE wrong?

Were you jitters you wouldn't be able to arrange a dowry
She would have slogged hard to alleviate your penury,
Did you only want a carrier of family name?
Actually, your act has put all to utter shame..

One Jessica was killed and a moview was made
So many foeticides happens daily, and not a word is said
Activists do launch so many an awarness campaign
Still Girls are killed, do they only, the concern feigh?

Where to complain against this heinous act?
Can someone please change this gruesome fact?
The deteriorating sex-ratio must send all an alarm
Please "Save The Girl Child", and stop any more harm..

Really beautiful, touched my heart, nowdays also, sometimes inspite of having all the means of life, one do not get medical aid in proper time.
