They can not sing a freedom's song,-1997- Saurabh Saraswat

Friends,This poem is from the school days of my younger son Saurabh.

For those, who are fed, in a golden pot,
      but inside the cage, and no more any dream.
they can not fly,  but  wings  they got,
      for all  their  desires,  are not  supreme.

their will is weak , now no more  strong,
     they can not think of those, who  are free.
and  can not  sing,  a  freedom's   song,
     they can   not swing, on branch of  a tree.

They still remember, their good old days,
     when  wind  was  blowing,  only  for  them.
and   each   spring,   in  so  many ways,
     came to their lives, like  a precious gem.  

With   great effort, they built that nest,
     by   picking   straws,  with a  tiny beak.
nestling  day  and  night,  with out rest,
     like    an    expert,    on   his    peak.    

For  going  out,  in  search  of  grain,  
     or any thing, to feed that cute little one.
waiting  for them, in heat cold or rain,
     for parental love, warm feeling and  fun.

That's amazing !! Superb rhyming.
