This Proud Republic my India.....Abul Asad

To the beat of the drums comes the dawn of the day
The brave of this land brought for us this republic day

With their blood they paid
With Their sweat they laid

The foundation of a great nation as you see today
The land that is free, the land that is yours today

So their children and ours could grow up one day
And say to the world we were born free today

The names of Bhagat Singh, Tipu and of Gandhi today
Be taken with all those forgotten unknowns of their day

For aught has it all been their sacrifices of that day?
For aught has it all been their lives wasted for this day?”

Where are their names, but on a wall in a frame today?
Where are their deeds, but in a book in the school today?

O’ Woe be those people, woe be their deeds  of this day
O’ Woe to those who do, n  those who let them do their ways.

For us to say happy republic day, indeed a happy day
To mock ourselves we know deep inside, what is this day?

When the inheritors loot our motherland,   day…… by day
Lies they weave in a web of deceit every day,………every day
