kabhee poore na hoN armaan mere
na gar ye saath deiN ausaan mere

naheeN ek shakhs bhee aisa shaher meiN
jise hoN yaad sab ahsaan mere

lahoo to rang laayega yaqeenan
haiN qaatil soch kar hairaan mere

dukhoN ko ek din jaana hee hoga
haiN kuchh din ke liye mehmaan mere

kya us bewafaa ka ab yaqeeN ho
saleeboN par haiN sab armaan mere.
