zindagee main raahat  kaa koi  manzar milaa hee nahi,
zakham naasoor hote  gaye koi  marhum milaa hee nahi,

shayad woh  majboor tha  jo din ba din dur hota gaya,
shikwe kaise karte hum uska gunah koi milaa hee nahi,

meri mohhobat kaa uske dil par huk hota to lout aate,
par usko meri waffaon ka sandesha koi milaa hee nahi,

kashmkash main pade manjil se bhatakar ruk gaye wahi,
kis orr jaate raah main  humsafar koi milaa hee nahi,

kashti paar na lag paayee  gamo,n kee barsaat hone se,
bach jate tanhai e bhawar se majhi koi milaa hee nahi,

nashaad huye khuwaabo,n kee chitta jalaar bethey they,
koi jalti lou bujhta eysa humdard  koi milaa hee nahi,
