mohhobat  karne walo,n ne  akser dard  hee  paya hain,
chala  gaya jo  dayaar e ghair woh  lout na paya hain,

raah e manjil ka  masaafat  bohat  kaato bhara sa tha,
zakhmee to huye kadam  mare koi  marhum  na paya hain,

ahal e jahaan ne itnee jafaai,n  dee hai  mere mun ko,
abb jis mehfil main jate waha  dushman  hee paya hain,

dil e figaar  thaa  shab e firaaq  main  uske  gum se,
din ba din  khud  ko  qafas e tanhai  main  paya hain,

rudaad mari  zindagi  kee jis  shaks ne bhi suni thee,
aksr uske surkhi e rukhsaar par girta aansu paya hain,

mohhobat kee kahaniyo,n  main jo yakeen karle ek baar,
woh fass gaya ishq zajbaato,n main bach naa paya hain,
