A young man was getting ready to Graduate College. For many

months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's

showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that

was all he wanted. As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs

that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning of

his graduation his father called him into his private study.

His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told

him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautiful wrapped

gift box.Curious, but somewhat disappointed the young man opened the

box and found a lovely, leather-bound Holy Bible.

Angrily, he raised his voice at his father and said, "With

all your money you give me a Bible?" and stormed out of the house, leaving the

holy book. He never contacted his father again for a long time.

Many years passed and the young man was very successful in

business. He had a beautiful home and a wonderful family, but

realized his father was very old and thought perhaps he should go to

him.He had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make

arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father

had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son.

He needed to come home immediately and take care of things. When he

arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his

heart. He began to search his father's important papers and saw the

still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he

opened the Bible and began to turn the pages.

As he read those words, a car key dropped from an envelope

Taped behind the Bible. It had a tag with the dealer's name, the

Same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag

was the date of his graduation, and the words PAID IN FULL.

How many times do we miss GODS blessings because they are not

packaged as we expected?

hi mansi. its very nice.
i have a poetic versioon of this story, frm p&q. sorry, i am unable to credit the author

author : unknown to "me"

He was ready to graduate college
After all these years
He admired a beautiful sports car
And he begged for it in tears

His father could afford it
They were very rich indeed
He begged for him to get it
He was much too cursed with greed

The man was just so happy
Though he felt the day was far,
He really was so confident
Today he would get a brand new car

He wasn't afraid of his father though,
His father was a good man
And he knew he would get the car,
His father did everything he can

The old man sat at his desk,
He also waited for this day to come
And told him how proud he was
To be the father of such a smart son

His father handed him his gift
The young man took one look
Then sneered and started yelling
Because it was just a holy book

His father just didn't understand..
The book looked so bold
It was brand new
And he wrapped it in velvet and gold

The man was more furious than ever,
Hot sweat dripped all over his face
He threw the book on the floor,
He left for years without a trace

Many years had passed ever since
And he forgot about his dad
He forgot about the graduation
And the fact he got so mad

He went on successful in life
Very good in everything he did
He became rich, got married
He even had three kids.

After he became a father himself,
He realized he should go visit his dad
He finally remembered what happened
And why he left his house so mad.

He wanted to get in touch with him again
But he didn’t know what it would bring
He knew it was the right thing to do
So he decided to give him a ring

Before he got a chance to call
Someone called him first instead
They gave him a disturbing message
They told him his dear father was dead

They then hung up
Before he even had a choice
He tried to thank the guy
But he really had no voice

He had to go to the house
To pick up his father’s will
He had to clean out his things
And there were some papers he had to fill

He got there and began gathering his stuff
Then he remembered the holy book
He became too curious
And he had to take a look

He remembered he threw it
But he couldn't recall where
As he was looking through his father’s drawers
He found that book still there

Slowly tears filled his eyes
And his heart filled with pain
He was really very surprised
Touching the book it felt the same

He flipped through the pages
Then something fell and he didnt see
When he picked it up from the floor
He found a silver car key!

A paper flew out with it
It had a car dealer’s name
There was a date on it also
The graduation day was the same!

He didnt really understand
To whom that car was sold…
What he saw next broke his heart
The words PAID IN FULL in gold

its very well written !!! n one of my fav poem like the one written on suiciide by monica
