na aashna her rahguzer na maherba her ek nazer
jaye to ab jaye kidher main aur meri awaagi

hum bhi kabhi abaad the, aise kaha berbad the
befiker the azaad the, masroor the dilshaad the
wo chal aisi chal gaya, hum bujh gaye dil jal gaya
nikle jala ke apna gher, main aur meri awaargi

jena bahut aasan tha, ek shaks ka ehsaan tha
hum ko bhi ek arman tha jo khawab ka samaan tha
ab khawab hai na aarzu, armaan hai na justaju
yu bhi chalo khush hai mager main aur meri awaargi

ye dil hi tha jo sah gaya wo baat aisi kah gaya
kahne ko phir kya rah gaya ashko ka dariya bah gaya
jab kahke wo dilber gaya 'tere liye main mer gaya'
rote hai usko raat bher, main aur meri awaargi

ab ghum uthaye kis liye ansu bahaye kis liye
gher band hai sab dost ke ab khatam hai sab dosti
kismat ka ye pher hai andher hi andher hai
aise hue hai be asar main aur meri awaargi

jab humdum wo humraaz tha tab aur hi andaaz tha
ab soz hai tab saaz tha, ab sharam hai tab naaz tha
ab mujh se ho to ho bhi kya, hai saath wo to bhi kya
ek behuner ek be samar, main aur meri awaargi
