                          kyon  rahte ho  tum bikhre-bikhre se!
                          tanha-tanha    se    bigde-bigde  se!
                         
                          hai  intezaar  shahr  ko  bahaar  ka!
                          aao to nazar kabhi sanware-sanwre se!

                          hai  pareshaa.n manzil teri adaa pe !
                          chalte ho raah mein thahre-thahre se!

                          talaatum sa aa jaaye dariya mein bhi!
                          dekhte ho use jo itne gahre-gahre se!

                          ro  padi  ghazal  bhi  aaj bazm mein!
                          hue MARHOOM ke kaan jo bahre-bahre se!
