                             bahaar bhi dil ko ab nahin bhaati...,
                             khushi bhi ghar ko ab nahin aati...,
                          

                             gilaa nahin mujhe manzil se aaj,
                             khawahish uss raah ko ab nahin jaati,


                            lahro ka sahil se rishta sadion puraana,
                            mohabbat, aashqi ko ab nahin satati,

                          
                           kahte ho jeena jise; maut hai mere liye,
                           aag  apne shole ko ab nahin bharkhati,


                           khul gayaa raaz-e-sheba band ashiyane mein ....!
