mehfil mein jo chain na aaye dil tujhko hi doondta jaye
saans jo lee teri yaad aayee aankh khuli to bas thi tanhayee ,

battien karta hoon khud se ,aahien bharta hoon dil se ,
aayne mein phir teri surat paaye , aankh khuli to bas thi tanhayee,

yadon mein tu hi baste ho , rulakar humko khud haste ho ,
yahi adha tumhari samaj nahi ayyee , aankh khuli to thi tanhayee ,

khwab toota chehra choota , khushiyan ka tha jo alam chhota ,
ankhon mein ansuon ki thi gehrayee , aankh khuli to bas tanhyee
