LamhoN Ke ChiraaGh

Vo niiNd kii tarah narm sabzaa
KhvaaboN kii tarah ramiidaa shabnam
PhuuloN kii tarah shaGhuftaa chehre
Khushbuu kii tarah latiif baateN
KirnoN kii tarah javaaN tabassum
Shoale kii tarah dahaktii Khvaahish
TaaroN kii tarah chamaktii aaGhosh
SaaGhar kii tarah chalakte siine
Sab qaafilaa-e-’adam ke raahii
Vaadii-e-’adam meN chal rahe haiN
TaariikiyoN ke khile haiN parcham
LamhoN ke chiraaGh jal rahe haiN
Har laamhaa hasiin aur javaaN hai
Har lamhaa faroGh-e-jism-o-jaaN hai
Har lamhaa aziim-o-jaavidaaN hai

(sabzaa : herbage; ramiidaa : terrified; shaGhuftaa : blooming; latiif : elegant; tabassum : smile; shoalaa : fire-ball; dahaktii : burning; aaGhosh : embrace; saaGhar : glass of wine; qaafilaa : caravan; ‘adam : abyss; vaadii : valley; taariik : dark; parcham : banners; faroGh : light; jism-o-jaaN : body and soul; aziim : great; jaavidaaN : eternal)

Gairon ko ghar bulaia nahi jata,
haal-e-dil sabko sunaia nahi jata......

shayad tere liye duaa maang saku,
apne liye to daman falaia nahi jata.......

tum ne bhar di jholi meri kanto se,
sab ke dar pe to jaya nahi jata.....

dekhne bhar se he sihar uthti hoon,
zakhm-e- jigar ko sehlaia nahi jata.....

bhulne ko bhool jaoun khuda ko bhee,
ik tera hee chhehra bhulaia nahi jata......

hum me tum me ajeeb hai ye takaluf,
app bulate nahi hum se aaya nahi jata.....

mat itrao kagaz ke phool bechne walom,
kiyon ki inse aashiana mehkaiya nahi jata.......

'' kai pathar zakham bhee de jate hai,
har pathar ke aage sar jhukaia nahi jata........
