Storm

When I was up against the storm
The wind and rain in full form
You’re the one who kept me warm
All wrapped up and safe from harm

It took awhile for me to open
The doors to let you in
I felt safe when I had protection
But eventually my walls wore thin

And you saved me from my nightmares
You wiped away my tears
I told you secrets and you never judged
I was always at ease when we hugged

A hug is what started all this
And you were so magical to kiss
If I only had one wish
It really would be your happiness

What I’m trying to say here
Is that I still really care
The universe works in mysterious ways
And sadly this is the end of our days
