Yaad bolay to takiye mein gajre ki aas
jaisey joray ka kaanta kalejay ke paas,

yaad bolay to bachpan main choray so gaanv
jaisey panghat ke paani mein raadha ki chaanv,

yaad bolay to khali deewanay ka khwaab
ek bache ka jaisey adhoora jawab,

yaad bolay to palkon ko aansoo ki laut
kaaley baadal ko chaandi ki chamkili oat,

yaad bolay to aansoon ki tooti lari
ghup andheray mein chooti hui phuljhari,

yaad bolay to juhi ki khilti kali
chottay balak ke honton ko jaisey hansi,

yaad bolay to akhiyan jhukaane ka naam
ek naksha bana ke mitane ka naam,

yaad bolay to dil mein chupaane ki baat
chup zara soch ko muskurane ki baat

hum kam-ilmi k baais buhat say alfaaz k meaning samajh nahi paa sakay hen... lekin is kalaam say uthnay wali sughand ko mehsoos kar saktay hen...
