qissaa bahut mukhtasar saa hai sahib...
woh ek raat mere sapno.n mein aaye huey theh!

kyaa bharii jawaanee thee unhkee sahib...
lagey thaa rut mastaanee leke aaye huey theh!

jidhar dekhtaa thaa gul hee gul theh sahib...
mere gulsha.n mein bahaar leke aaye huey theh!

aankho.n mei.n unhkee gulaabii doreh theh sahib...
mujhe dekh ke kuchh kuchh sharmaaye huey theh!

hont unhke gul gulaab se kam naa theh sahib...
har su gulaabii rut banke chhaaye huey theh!

aankhe.n unhkee do gehree jhile.n thi.n sahib...
mere doobne kaa saamaan leke aaye huey theh!

intsaamii zulfein kaalii ghataa sii thin sahib...
lagey thaa rut barkhaa kee leke aaye huey theh!

aankh khulee khoob bheeg rahaa thaa sahib...
magar hum bas paseene mei.n nahaaye huey theh!!
