Abhi bundhi thi, jo ummeed abhi tooti hey,
Kamal hey meri qismat kamal roothi hey.
Jo dey gaya tha khushi ki naweed jhoota tha,
Khushi mili tou magar ye khushi bhi jhooti hey.
Baras chukey hein jo baadal woh aankh maltey hein,
Unhein yaqeen nahi key zameen sookhi hey.
Mein mubtala hoon gham-e-nafs mein mujhe choro,
key jaan jaye tou samjho key jaan chooti hey.
