Meri diwangi ki had to dekhte,
Jitna chaha unhe utni zillat payi!

Jo kiya karte hai ishq ke daawe,
Unse hume bas mili ruswaai!

Jis mehfil ne unhe saraha humse,
Ab hamari tarife unhe raas na ayi!

Jab andheron me hume chod gaye akele,
Ab kehte hai humse mili tanhayi!

Zakhmo ko hamare kuredte hi gaye,
Par humse marham ki aas lagayi!

Ghayel karte gaye hamari rooh ko,
Par "Ghayel"ban ke logo se unhe mili Wah-Wahi!
