kudrat ne  kaisa khel rachaya hai,
kis pinjre main fasaya hai,

le jakar samunder ke majdhaar main,
usne jo hame dubaya hai,

tughe yaad karke tuta hu akser,
tari judai ne jo tadpaya hai,

kis wajah se zeeu main,
is ghosh e tanhai ne sataya hai,

na karta ishq na milti ruswai,
ye dil e nadaan bohut pachtaya hai,

ye gum e afsaane jab bhi aaye,
alam e tanhai main bohut rulaya hai,

jo waade waffa ke karti thi kabhi,
wahi dard e lamha ubher aaya hai,

mohhobat reh gyi ab kitaabo main,
ye [jeet]ko aaj samgh aaya hai
