Baadarwaa aa gayey: sajanwaan na aaye? Sakhee!
Kaa karoun? Bataaou? Uneyn kouu tou bulaaye? Sakhee!

   Bhorayee, munderey seyn kaag ki guhaar aayee!
   Dwaarey jaa pahunchee mein: galee lou buhaar aayee:
   Agwaanee karbey, deyree pai bhayee thanrhee aa:
   Jhoom-jhoom purwaiyaa aayee: fuhaar aayee!
Nounon sou lagou kachhoo deir; pai na aaye wey:
Baadar tou aaye; sajanwaan na aaye? Sakhee!
        Kaa karoun? Bataaou? Uneyn kouu tou bulaaye? Sakhee!

    Choonar-cholee bheenjee : aisee barsaat bhayee!
    Bheenj-bheenj gayee deh: saanjh bhayee! raat bhayee!!
    Haar gayee baat joh: aaye na, gayey saniyaan!
    Badley choonar-cholee: peepar kou paat bhayee!!
Jiyaa karai haaya! haaya!! Thand lagee, taap chadhou:
Baadarwaa aa gayey: sajanwaan na aaye? Sakhee!
        Kaa karoun? Bataaou? Uneyn kouu tou bulaaye? Sakhee!
