 Seashore Solace


The mild gushes of warm water,
Wetting my feet as I stand there,
The cold evening sea breeze whistling softly into my ears,
I stand there thinking about tomorrow,
distressed by the aches of life.

The lustrous sun has set by the water?s edge,
I can see as it goes slowly into the sparkling waters,
to explore the deep floors of the sea.
and the silvery moon has started
to show its beautiful face at last,
after a day long hiding beneath the blue skies!

The chirping little birds all set homewards
having completed
the days chores, and longing to
meet their loved ones.
I stay there watching,
all the lively movements of the life around.

The vendors marching past
in full vigor to sell their merchandise.
I see little children all gay and happy to enjoy
the beauty of the evening in the sea shore
playing in the sands. I stay there watching!
Watching as life passes by??..

Slowly the shadows of the night is engulfing,
but the seashore is still bright and wonderful.
The lanterns of the peanut venders
are like diamonds dotting the coastline.
Life is still out there??with its own enchanting beauty!!

I slowly walk past across the children,
across the shoreline, tranquil and light at heart.
I am on my way back to enjoy life
like a child, like a twittering little bird.
This evening has been a solace
for me, to face tomorrow with vigor.
