Aaj phir chaand ka noor zameen pe hai barsa,
Kisi ki chahat me badi muddat se ye bhi tha tarsa!

Jiski chahat me ye falak zameen se mil gaya hai,
Aaj isi noor ke sath wo meri sanso me ghul gaya hai!

Na thi khabar mujhe guzra pal phir laut ayega,
Mere soye huye armano ko phir wahi Ishq jaga jayega!

Jo band tha pinjre me mere khwabon ka karvaan,
Malum na tha wo Chahat me phir pankh fehrayega!

Ro rokar bhigoye the jo daman unke intezar me,
Malum na tha ashqon ka silsila unke ane se tham jayega!

Jaise chaand ne apne noor se hi raton ko sajaya hai,
Wo meri rag rag me ban ke lahu samaya hai!

Muddat se jis ghadi ke liye maine jag kar raate guzari hai,
Aaj isi noor ne meri zindegi phir sanwaari hai!
