 I saw a rainbow, but its colors did not glow
I felt a summer breeze, but it was bitter cold

I heard a bird sing, but its song was full of pain
I tasted your lips, but my kiss was all in vain

I heard a child's laughter, and I felt so very old
I cried a lonely tear from deep within my soul

I saw a falling star, but its wishes were all gone
I felt your touch, but it felt so withdrawn

I smelled a rose, but its fragrance was bittersweet
I felt the sun, but the sunshine had no heat

I looked at the stars, but I did not see the sky
I saw a clown, but instead he made me cry

I saw the sun rise, but, yet, there was no dawn
I heard a song, but the music and lyrics were gone

I saw the sun set, but I did not see the day
I held you so close to me, but you pushed me away

I said a prayer, but it was never heard
I said, "I love you," ...but it was only words

Gaalo pe aasuo ki lakir ban gayi..
kabhi soocha nehi tha aaisi takdir ban gayi..

hamne to firayi ret pe yu hi ungliya,
gour se dekha to aapki tasvir ban gayi ..
