Zamaane ke to bahut pade hampar
aa ke tu bhi utha de aik naya sa patthar
 
Zakhm hone se to dard hota hai bahut lekin
Kuch tajrub-e-zakhm, sang-e jaana ke bhi ho ham par
 
Ghisti hai nihaan gard me jo taqdeer apni
Ab khaak-e shifa ka bhi to ho asar uspar
 
Choomte they jo phool kabhi jis jagaah par
Hai sang-e dushnaam se padi ab laali us par
Abul Asad
 



Meaning of difficult words:
 
Tajruba: experience, experiment.
 sang: patthar
 Sang-e jaana: chahne wale ka patthar
 gard: dhool, mitti, sand, dust
 khaak-e shifa: aisi khaak jis me dard ya takleef ka marham ho, jis se shifa mile(cure)
 could mean the khaak from where the love lives, or has died in. or could also mean the khaak of "karbala".
 Sang-e dushnaam: dushnaam ke maine hen badnaami se, sang- patthar.
