tha muqaddar gham hi

khud pe auron ke saath
karte rahe sitam hi

gham se nahi shikayat
ye to the karam hi

aksar bebarish bhi
rahe chasm nam hi

zindagi me hamesha 'kaash'
hote nahi bharam hi
