Hello,

I'm new to Shayari, atleast in Hindi/Urdu etc.

I am American but I travel to and stay in India often.

My fluency in Hindi is around 50-60% with some knowledge in Urdu, Braj Bhasha and I'm familiar with Sanskrit words.

I have many poetic notions flowing through my mind but even when I write it in Hindi, it may seem nice to me but not to native speakers, my friends definitely make that clear lol.

I am hoping to have your aid in learning the ins and outs of shayari so that I will be able to write my own and have that "Vah Vah!" effect lol

This is one I like by Kabir and I translated the english myself in the most poetic way I could:

Sab Dharti Kagaz Karu
Lekhin Sab Banray
Sat Samundar Ki Masi Karu
Guru Gun Likha Na Jay

If all the Earth became the writing paper,
And all the trees the pen,
If all the(seven) oceans became the writing ink,
The glories of the Guru still could not be written then..

This is kind of the style I would like to learn.

Maybe you can help me with this to start off:

I am trying to say,

Why worry when the future hasn't even happened yet. (kinda of quote of the day style)

And this is how I am trying to write it:

Kyon chinta karte hai
Jab bhavishya nahi hua hai

or

Kyon chinta karte hai
Jab hamare haatho mei
Bhavishya nahi hai

Maybe flows, but some words aren't right, I know. Can you help??

Thanks!

There is also one hindi song as you mentioned above
Dharti Bane Dawat Chahe, Siyahi Baney Samundar
Jungal Bane Khalam Chahe, Kaghaz Ban Jaye Amber
Mere Dil'bar Dil'jaani Mere Dil'bar Dil'jaani
Phir Bhi Likhi Na Jayege, Teri Meri Prem Kahaani
Teri Meri Prem Kahaani...Usual Smile

because it's a combination of two words..carrying indo-american touch.
As introduced, we might see good english poetries from you.

just stick to your desire, you'll find your way.
