These are the ascii values that generate these characters. For doing this in Laptop follow the instructions....

Goto Start-->Run type -->charmap Press Enter

In the character map click on any character displayed and check the bottom right corner to see the value of that character.. it's something like Alt+212 the value 212 can be anything b/w 0 and 255.
Scroll using arrow keys to get the value as Alt+160. Double click that character and copy it.
Rename the folder u wish.. and paste the character u copied....
Note.... The selected font should be Arial

Short method.. You can simply copy the character given b/w 2 dollar signs here.. and paste it as the folder name....

I got the answer....
The single and double dots in Dos directory Structure are because of UNC. Single dot specifies current directory and the double dot for parent directory..... :D

In all these are the device names in Windows and Dos that should not be used for file/folder names....

CON, PRN, AUX, CLOCK$, NUL, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, COM5, COM6, COM7, COM8, COM9, LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, LPT4, LPT5, LPT6, LPT7, LPT8, and LPT9

For creating folders/files with these names ....

STEP1: goto command prompt
STEP2: type in prompt c:\> "mkdir \\.\c:\con"
STEP3: verify by typing "dir \\.\c:\con"
STEP4: delete the file or folder "rmdir \\.\c:\con"

Check this post brother....    You can create folders of any name using the tricks given in steps 1 through 4.... Usual Smile
