How to change only the USER NAME(nothing else) ?

Dear Administrator,
          Can i change my present User Name? I want  to do so but darta hu k kahin merey peheley wala posts delete na ho jaye.....how can i do that, I had tried to change it directly from my profile, but it did not work.
Please help....
