My RAUs are missing

Dear Admin,

I was away from the site for a month and returned to the site today to find that all my Raus are gone. I followed up and read your announcement of how the Rau game has changed. Fine. But Please Do Not Delete My Raus. As a responsible Admin that should be anathema to you. Yes, there were some people worried about getting enough raus and all that, and you changed the criterion and system. That's fine.

But why reduce my 33 raus to 0? I have never solicited any, nor handed out as favours or even always announced that I am giving one. So why paint me with the guilty brush? And no, deleting everyone's Raus is not the answer.

Yes, you are the admin of the site, but the Raus are mine. I have earned the love and appreciation of my fellow members, please do not take my raus away.

If as some are suggesting there are people making fake ids, tmrw somebody will abuse this also, so again a new system will come and again RAUS reset to zero. Its not the number, but the fact that my account is being modified by the Admin without my approval!!!! Unheard of! If you feel bad, I am sorry but the fact is that is the way it is.



Request you once again to restore my Raus.

I never wanted to remove Rau of anyone but due continuous negative feedback and question raised by various members against Rau, I had to take this decision and make Rau more respectable. Hope you understand this fact. If your Rau is gone, it never means you gained them through unfair means, its just that now Rau's definition has been changed and it was necessary to remove them from every Yoindia Shayariadab member's account so that can have fresh start, equal for everyone.

I am seeking your co-operation in this matter and hopefully we can continue to improve Yoindia Shayariadab.

Thank you very much for your reply. I take this to mean that my Rau score will not be restored. So be it.

I have nothing but admiration for this site's promoters, managers and administrators for succeeding in making this a very active and interesting site for poets and poetry lovers. I for one think I am richer for having come on board. There is no doubt that managing such a site is a very challenging job.
Not wanting to waste your time, I will make the submission below and never revisit this topic again.

I understand the pressures that may been brought to bear upon the Admin resulting in the revised Rau criteria.  Pressure however is not everything. Right and wrong is.

1) Any form of appreciation on a public system is bound to be open to manipulation. This is a fact that is well known before the Rau system was (quite recently) introduced. Now when it is happening we should not be surprised. In my view the revised system is also not without bias and builds prejudice in favour of the poems seen earlier.

2) The Rau is like money, just because some people acquire it by improper means does not mean the govt can make everyone's bank account zero.

3) In the same example of currency, if a currency is devalued it is not taken out of circulation... It simply gets more difficult to earn. Denominations can be taken out of circulation but amounts are unchanged.

4) Deposits can be made by anyone, but withdrawals cannot be made except on instruction of account holder in this case the poet.

5) The Admin of a site may delete offensive posts, but Rau themselves are by and large without subjective effect, so they are like my name, sex, signature. How can you change it without asking me?

6) People will always scream and shout about inequalities in the system. But is a reset the answer?
No. It can never be.

In light of the above points I think that while grappling with the problem of Rau-mongering, the decision to revise the criteria was a correct one but deleting the accounts was by far wrong and totalitarian or at best a knee-jerk reaction. While observing the code of conduct in members, the  administrators should be aware of their own code and not deny the basic rights of members. 

I have never cared about Rau but the act and manner of its deletion that bothered me. Its like you have come into my home and taken all the 'Well Done' cards that I had received....so what if you are Archies or Hallmark....Thats it. I will say no more and if you are still reading this...thank you. I will now take your leave, as I cannot continue to hold my views and stay on without being dissatisfied. And I absolutely do not want to mar the atmosphere here.

reason : subah se shaam tak bahut se pyare members itni acchi acchi kavitayein likhte hai ke padte padte waqt ka pata hi nahi chalta hai.

mere dil ko jo chua us kavita ko mai ek RAU diya toh, next jinka padu unhe RAU nahi de sakti. toh yeh us member ke liye nainsafy wali baat huyi na?

yahan toh jo likhte hai dil se likhte dekh rahi hu. her ek member apna creation yahan post karte hai aur hamari tarif unhe aur likhne ko majbur karti hai. ab yeh rau beech mein aa gaya. mujhe guilty hoti hai ke mai ek ko RAU diya aur doosra shayari bi RAU ka haqdaar hota hai but hum 8/10 hrs de nahi sakte.

agar koi meri rai se itefaq rakhe to main yahi kehna chahunga ki admin ko reader ko yeh haq dena chahiye ki wo 24 hours mein 3 ya 5 rau de sakta hai . aur ek member ko sirf ek hi 24 hours mein... isse yeh fayda bhi milega ki writter din mein 1 hi post karna jyada pasand karega jo chahta hai ki use rau mile ya yeh chahe ki reader uski ek rachna jyada se jyada padhe.....

rahi purane rau ki baat to quateel ahmed ji main samjh sakta hoon yeh kafi dukh dhayak hai ki apni mehnat  koi lut le jaye to taqleef hoti hai...par yeh sirf aapke sath nahi hua hum sabke sath hua rau to phir kamaye jayenge khone ke dar se aap apni mehnat dikhana thode hi chhod denge....aur ab to fkr ki baat hogi ki koi bhi rau waste nahi hoga apna alag hi mayna rkhega.....so plz.... qauteel ji yoindia ko apni rachna kalaam se mehkaye aur apni narajgi chhod dein...admin ki problem samjhne ki koshish karein...

As everyone knows that it is impossible to create something which is 100% safe from manipulation, same goes with Rau but my effort was to improve it. It is not possible to restore anyone's Rau but all I can request that please co-operate and consider it as fresh start of Rau.
