Why poetry is secondary over Yoindia ?Who is at fault ?

Dear Mardia Ji,

I definitely understand your words and concern. Rest, according to you I am talking about a bogus issue, well I had this in my mind from long but it was just my recent post which finally forced me to take it out and place in front of all Yoindians, It is my observation and its from long.

So please do not consider it a personal issue. As you said, Prateek ji, we all Yoindians are friends and this is what I want that we should treat everyone equally, however you may give extra preference to those you like but others must not be avoided.

No one is bounded to read all poems and no one expect thousands of replies, all it needs that there should be no ignorance.

Lastly, I am thankful to all who gave their time and replied to this topic.

To Prateek ji, consider the words I wrote in bold in beginning.

c. Kindly understand that its not issue about my inactivity. I am strongly against idea that if one who is not regular then can not raise any topic here. It is really sad to know that main cause of the topic was diverted by few and many other followed same idea blindly.I need to remind that I started this topic in order to remind people about ignorance towards work of new members.


Clearly from discussion over here people want to convey that I need to be regular otherwise I should not post or else (as I said) will not get much attention. And this is what I am talking about that we should not follow such tradition.

Also, I will not call it groupism but its a  on going trend on Yoindia and we should get out of it. There are around 10-20 new posts on Yoindia and among them 40%-60% are shared work and other general threads hence only half of the post are original work, so whenever you visit  Yoindia with time in hand then giving reply on those 5-6 latest poem is not hard. Ofcourse this do not applies on people who are busy in their life and visit Yoindia just to see what is new.

Good work always get its part of appreciation, well then I do not agree this atleast on Yoindia, many times I saw many good poems getting buried in pile of newer but less creative work. I can give several example and I even saw few people removing their posts as they did not get attention at all. I will not name them but those people includes even senior members of Yoindia and I guess they will now understand what I am talking about.

And if I am Swarthy - Selfish then would have never started this thread and instead should have followed my own guidelines so that I can attract more replies to my poem. So I request that before making comment people should consider all facts otherwise it leaves bad impression.

Just to remind once again, I asked people to give their real views but seems many just followed few biased views given by some members.

I hope after this discussion work of new people will get more attention irrespective their activity or availability on Yoindia Shayariadab.

Ek kahani yaad aai bachpan me suni thi.."gaon me ek babaji aaye bade hi siddh atma the ..sabhi samasyaon ka samadhan gramino ko diya karte the.....ek din ek gramin apne 10 saal ke putra ko lekar aaya....aur babaji se kaha ki "Baba mere bete ko "bahoot meetha (sweet) khane ki aadat hai aur siway meethe ke kuch aur khata nahi hai..darta hun ki iske swasthya par bura prabhav padega....aap is samasya ka samadhan karen...

aisa samjha ke babaji ne gramin ko kaha jaao ab ye sabhi swasthy-vardhak cheezen khayega...
grameen ne utsukta se poocha baba ye baat to aap 10 din pahle bhi kah sakte the....iske liye aapne 10 din mujhe intzaar kyun karwaya?
babaji ne kaha..."beta 10 din pahle tak mai bhi bahoot meetha khata tha....to jo kaam mai khud karta hun yadi wahi kaam mai usase nahi karne ke liye kahta to shayad meri baat ka wazan kam ho jaata...aur wo prabhav paida nahi ho pata...

I would like to request you once to read what all you have written in your first and second post.The issue may not be bogus but the way you presented was not at all comfertable to eyes and heart as well.You seem to be well versed but using harsh words,almost challenging the dignities of people who really read and appreciate good stuff,and moreover connecting it to your posted poem cannot be ignored.Actually If you read all what you have been posting here it seems you are trying to convert a personal issue into a general issue now. Had you mentioned somebody else's work and then tried to analyse the root cause then it would have sounded better.
 posts in Shayri-e- ishq ,shayri-e-dard etc are highlighted on main page but shayri-zindgi, miscellaneous shayri etc. do not get that kind of attention. So definately clicks and views will be less...Now that is a technical fault or may be a set formula...but this is the way it works. Who is to be blamed on that??
And as you said that people read their friend's poetry and only comment on that and avoid else-please tell me the so called freindship-how was this between any two members developed? Were they known to each other before or only because they liked their poetry and commented and that let to the nourishment of friendship. It was all because of poetry, I guess!
Then I was most stunned by your insignifcant remark of suggesting to convert this site into dating and friendship site...becasue if so old dedicated members like you can even think like that it is most disturbing.

I really feel that by now you have understood that your post was  surely impolite but there is hesitation from your side to admit the same. But this matter cannot be dragged for too long otherwise it may create more confusions and time can be lost in accusing each other.
I have re-read your posts and I really want you to re-read them again.And believe me your prestige will never be at stake if once you understand all and realise the problem.

First of all, as I already explained earlier according to my observation I found that most of the poetry of new members / relatively less familiar members are not properly weighed. But when  I recently made post (poem) then found similar happening to my work so it was confirmed that my observation was not false hence I took the part to bring this thing to notice of others. So its obvious that this post may look like referring to my post but it was not the only but one of the reason and hence its not a personal reason.

About my first post being impolite, well I never said that I intended to be polite there. I made it so that atleast out of annoyance people will comment here (you may see notice last line in my first post) otherwise I had doubt if anyone will bother to comment on it. Because in past I have seen so many such discussion buried only after 3-4 response and without any proper outcome.

Regarding main page, from last few days we do not see ishq etc there, now Parastish, Watan etc are displayed instead.

Discussion ka kabhi koi ant nahi hota.. bahoot dino se yah thread parr rahi hu. Ricky ji mujhe apka tark samjh main ayya... magar app jo kah rahe hai wo poori tarah se lagu hona mushkil hai. maine apni pahle wali post main apko likha tha ki yah sirf new members ya jo log bahoot kam atte hai unke sath he nahi, balki jo roj atte hai likhte hai unke sath bhi hota hai.

apki baat sahi hai ki sabhi posts ko tavjjo milani chahiye... ab sawal yah hai ki kaise?

yah bahoot he kudrati baat hai ki jab main sabko padati hu kuch mere fav. ho jaate hai, unka likha mujhe acha lagta hai. unki rachnao ki wait hoti hai aor jaise he main online atti hu, meri najre unke likhe ko dhoondati hai...

New members doosre number per atte hai, aor uske baad baki sab.. agar waqat ho to. issi tarah her member ka apna apna ek tarika hai yo per akar posts check karna aor jawab dene ka.

isse badla nahi ja sakta. magar request ki ja sakti hai ki agar wo her baar jab bhi online ayye to kuch new members ki threads jaroor chek kar sake aor comments de sake.


Ricky ji ek baat apko aor samjhni hogi jo ki Admin ji ke rules main se ek hai ki agar app chahte hai ki apki post per comments ayye to apko aoro ki posts parr kar wahan bhi comments dene hoge.. agar yo-members apko janate nahi to do din ke ander apki post main koi khas jawab nahi ayege aor do din mai itani posts hoti hai Yoindia per ki apka thread kahin niche dab jayega.

Ajj main apne open kiye threads dekh rahi thi aor hairaan ho rahi thi ki kitane threads hai jo kabhi 2nd page tak nahi phunche.. ab na to main New member hu, mere khayal mujhse jayada Active Mahiya ya celmira ho to ho aor koi najar nahi atta, Normal sa likh bhi leti hu ki log yah na kahe isko padna fizool hai...shabd bhi mere saral he hote hai aor main almost sabhi ke threads mai likhati hu aor koshish karti hu ki sabhi new members ka sath de saku.. (yah sab maine ek ek karke Admin ji ne jo rules bataye hai unke jawab main likha hai). in sabke bawjood meri kitani threads kabhi 2nd page tak nahi pahunchi.

Mere khayal se agar karne layak koi cheese hai to wo ye hai ki hum apni karni aur kathani ke antar ko mitayen.
kya hi achcha hota agar "RICKY JI" sirf is thread pe reply karne ke saath saath aaj kisi ek naye shayar ki poem pe koi reply, koi comment bhi de dete...jaisa ki wo sabhi se karne ke liye appeal kar rahe hain.
ye baat mai in general un sabhi senior yoindians ke liye kah raha hun jo ye dekhne me apana khasa waqt jaya karte hain ki naye shayar ko koi appreciation nahi mil raha lekin khud unko reply dene ki jahmat nahi uthate.
