iadmin, great job of maintaining and running this site,
I understand the difficulty of running a good website like this.

I know it is human nature, people will not pay you regularly unless it is a necessity or a want or desire. This will not happen. Even though they may use the services. So this has to be a regular effort from your side, organized by a group of volunteers. If this needs to be successful then it should be done on a consistent basis, In an organized manner.

A few ideas for raising funds for the site:


A fund raising drive, maybe 1st week of every month, that would give away some items, books, memorabilia, tickets to events, shows. etc. Not in lieu of funds but to those who become paid members.

Special priviliges to paying members on the site, also they could
probably get invites to special events either at a substantial discount or get invited free.

Having an organised drive to approach other Art endowment programs for funds. Either through directly contacting them
or through the net, like mass email, ads etc.

Maybe, even solicit ads for the site but, only get a few select
sponsors, that are big and are content to display an aesthetically placed banner or button on the site. The idea being to keep the general look and feel of a free site, But get some Sponsorship in return.

We could also ask for donations of kind, these are generally easier than just asking for money, Like Old collectible books,
Music, other media, promotional items, like artistically done
Beautiful pens, desk accessories, apparel, etc. These could inturn be auctioned on the site as a one time deal only. Again
this has to be done on certain days only. Like during the 1st week during fund raising drive week.
even if they are digital, that could be downloaded

Inviting some wealthy patrons for their patronage, similar inline with Art endowment organisations.

Another idea could be, a sister site that is a membership through payment site, with a link or button of that site displayed and promoted here, I may not sound puritan here, but maybe a matrimonial site (Not a dating site , that would be crassy). That would generate funds for this site.

Saahir, few members already created page there, it was not really a great help.

We need to make strategic move for such actions, however currently I am busy in other important things hence I can't give required to time this aspect.
